Abstract
President Vladimir Putin has requested that the Russian parliament reappoint Mikhail Mishustin as prime minister. Mishustin appeared before the State Duma for a confirmation hearing, where lawmakers plan to question him on government policies related to demographics, economic development, and defense capability. It is highly likely that Mishustin will be confirmed, allowing him to continue in his role as prime minister. Other government appointments are expected in the near future. President Putin, who has been in power since the beginning of the 21st century, has begun another six-year term after winning a heavily controlled presidential election. [Extracted from the article]
