Abstract
Deanda is a solid scholar with enlightening insights about colonial and Spanish texts, the history of inquisitorial practices, and theories of obscenity applied to the Spanish-speaking eighteenth century. Deanda's book will be of interest to students of the history of sexuality, and especially pornography and obscenity, in the Spanish-speaking eighteenth century. [Extracted from the article]
