Abstract
In a recent speech at the University of CEMA in Buenos Aires, influential economist Arthur Laffer advised Argentina to eliminate capital controls to boost prosperity. Despite President Javier Milei's campaign promises, the country still maintains strict currency and capital regulations to prevent inflation. Laffer also suggested that Argentina should not worry about its trade deficit with China and recommended abolishing the International Monetary Fund, which he believes has negatively impacted many countries.
