Abstract
The article focuses on a study examining the impact of Taliban policies on Afghan female academics, highlighting their systemic exclusion and the resulting intellectual crisis. Conducted by researchers from Cardiff Metropolitan University, the study utilizes qualitative interviews with twelve Afghan women to explore themes of psychological distress, economic exclusion, social isolation, and systemic gender-based oppression. The findings indicate that Taliban governance not only undermines women's autonomy but also fosters fear and socio-economic marginalization. The research advocates for Islamic feminism as a framework for resistance and calls for urgent international advocacy and policy reforms to support Afghan women's rights to education and public participation.
