Abstract

The article focuses on Pakistan's civil–military dynamics and how its shifting nuclear doctrine has been shaped by the army's dominance over civilian governments. Topics include the military's use of nuclear blackmail to justify regional conflicts, its manipulation of democracy through coups and hybrid regimes, and its strategy of perpetuating hostility with India to maintain power and legitimacy.
