Abstract
This article discusses the energy transition and geopolitical challenges faced by Cuba in its pursuit of a low-carbon economy. The author explores the contradictions between Cuba's socialist political project and its efforts to achieve a sustainable and low-carbon economy. The article highlights the importance of energy conservation and efficiency in Cuba's energy program, as well as the role of infrastructure and the geopolitical context in shaping the energy transition. While the book fails to outline Cuba's current energy sources, it provides valuable insights for policymakers and challenges existing assumptions about energy transitions.
