Abstract

The article discusses the increased attention on using International Organization for Standardization (ISO) trucks to transport diesel from the U.S. to Cuba, which is facing an intensifying energy crisis. It describes the use of ISO trucks by the Cuban private sector and the decision by President Donald Trump's administration to allow the sector to import diesel from U.S. companies. It examines Cuba's energy crisis caused by Venezuela and Mexico's move to cut their oil supplies to the country.
