Abstract
This document is a collection of abstracts from various articles that examine different aspects of the liberal international order and the European Union's role within it. The articles cover topics such as global justice, EU climate policy, the EU's rights-based approach, EU bordering practices, EU security policy, Russia's relationship with the liberal order, authoritarian middle powers' contestation of the EU, and the changing world order. The abstracts offer insights into the challenges and complexities of the liberal order and its implications for the EU's global role. Additionally, a survey conducted in ten major European countries reveals strong public support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia. The majority of respondents hold Russia responsible for the war and advocate for standing by Ukraine. There is little support for pressuring Ukraine to accept territorial losses or lifting economic sanctions against Russia. While there is not widespread enthusiasm for increasing NATO's presence in eastern Europe or for Ukraine joining the alliance, fighting the war in Ukraine is seen as a goal in itself. To maintain high levels of support, governments should tailor their communications to reach less supportive groups, including younger audiences and members of populist right-wing groups.
