Abstract
Tech giants like Google and Amazon are showing interest in small modular nuclear reactors, which are seen as cheaper and safer alternatives to traditional reactors. These smaller reactors produce less power but are more cost-effective and easier to shut down in case of accidents. The U.S. government is also investing in small modular reactors, with companies like X-energy and TerraPower leading the way in developing innovative designs. Despite past failures, the support from big tech and government funding has proponents hopeful that small modular reactors will soon become a viable energy source. [Extracted from the article]
