Abstract

The article focuses on correcting a unit-labeling error in the reported energy consumption for CO production in the electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction, where kilowatt-hours (kWh) were mistakenly used instead of watt-hours (Wh). The numerical data and scientific conclusions remain accurate despite this correction. Additionally, the authors clarify the calculation method for energy efficiency, recommending the use of formation free energies and free energies of gas mixing rather than the previously referenced calcination cycle, without impacting the study’s experimental results or analyses.
