Abstract
The article focuses on recent attacks targeting energy infrastructure in the Gulf region, including the suspension of operations at the Habshan natural gas processing facility in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates' largest such plant operated by Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. The attacks, attributed to Iran amid ongoing regional conflict, have also affected Kuwait’s Mina Al Ahmadi oil refinery and a power and water desalination plant, causing fires and operational shutdowns. These disruptions have contributed to a significant rise in oil prices and have impacted key export routes like the Strait of Hormuz, which remains largely closed to traffic. Iran has issued warnings of further strikes on energy and infrastructure assets in Gulf countries if its own facilities are attacked. [Extracted from the article]
