Abstract
EDF Renewables North America has signed a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) for the Milligan 1 Wind project in Nebraska. The 300 MW project has been in operation since 2021 and will help OPPD meet the increasing demand for electricity in their service area while working towards their goal of doubling generation capacity by 2030 and achieving net-zero carbon by 2050. EDF Renewables, a leading renewable developer in North America, is committed to providing integrated energy solutions to meet customer's carbon-reduction goals. OPPD plans to add 3,200 MW of generation by the end of the decade, with half of those additions coming from renewables. [Extracted from the article]
