Abstract
Togo is currently experiencing severe power cuts, causing significant challenges for businesses and individuals. The national electricity company, CEET, attributes the outages to difficulties in the supply of natural gas from external suppliers. Nigeria, a major electricity supplier to Togo, has limited its electricity exports to Togo, Niger, and Benin due to its own power shortages. While some businesses, such as generator markets, are thriving, many others are struggling. The government is facing increasing pressure to address the crisis, which coincides with political tensions in the country. [Extracted from the article]
