Abstract

Vitol Group and Glencore Plc. are considering acquiring New Fortress Energy Inc.'s Jamaican LNG assets, including gas-import terminals in Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and Brazil, as well as a floating project known as Fast LNG. New Fortress has hired Lazard Inc. and Intrepid Financial Partners LLC to explore divestment of some of its LNG operations due to major project delays and recent debt refinancing. Vitol and Glencore are primarily interested in the Jamaican facilities, while New Fortress is seeking strategic partners for its businesses. [Extracted from the article]
