Abstract
Prevalon Energy, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Power Americas, has partnered with Idaho Power to develop a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) that will provide reliable power during peak demand periods. The project aims to support grid resiliency and will have a capacity of up to 328MWh. The BESS will align with Idaho Power's plan to integrate 5,000MW of energy from wind and solar projects over the next 20 years, helping to store energy from intermittent sources for future use. The project is expected to be operational by 2025 and will contribute to Idaho Power's goal of achieving 100% clean energy by 2045. [Extracted from the article]
