Abstract
The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), a federal agency that provides power to 10 million people, has asked customers to conserve electricity due to cold weather conditions in the US. The agency expects frigid temperatures and wind chill to increase power usage. This is the first time this winter that TVA has made such a request. The US power grid has been facing challenges from extreme weather, as seen in the winter storm in Texas in February 2021. TVA had to implement rotating outages in late December 2022 due to high demand. [Extracted from the article]
