Abstract

Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed President Jose Ramos Horta of Timor-Leste to the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in Gandhinagar, marking the first-ever visit between the two countries at the Head of State or Government level. PM Modi reiterated India's commitment to strengthening the connection between Delhi and Dili, the capital of Timor-Leste. He offered assistance in various areas such as capacity building, IT, fintech, energy, healthcare, and traditional medicine. PM Modi also invited Timor-Leste to join the International Solar Alliance and the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure.
