Abstract
Statkraft AS, Europe's largest renewable energy generator, has announced plans to divest its businesses in the Netherlands, Croatia, and India to focus on core markets in Europe and South America. The company aims to upgrade hydropower and wind resources in Norway with a $6.1 billion investment and increase solar, wind, and battery storage projects in key markets by 2-2.5 GW from 2026. CEO Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal stated that the company is reallocating capital to its core business and reorganizing its operations, including the creation of a new technology and project delivery division.
