Abstract
The article focuses on the migration behavior of bumblebee catfish, a little-studied species discovered in 2017, as observed by Brazilian scientists in November 2024. Environmental police in Rochedo, Brazil, found thousands of these catfish climbing waterfalls on the Aquidauana River, prompting researchers to document this unprecedented event. The study revealed that the catfish's climbing behavior is influenced by the time of day and is likely linked to their migration to breeding grounds at the start of the rainy season. Additionally, three other fish species were observed climbing alongside the bumblebee catfish, marking the first documentation of such behavior in these species. [Extracted from the article]
