Abstract
This article evaluates the relationship between religious attitude, anxiety, and self-actualization among undergraduate students at the Shushtar Faculty of Medical Sciences in Iran. Using standardized inventories, the study found a significant negative correlation between religious attitude and anxiety levels, and a significant positive correlation between religious attitude and self-actualization, while anxiety and self-actualization were not significantly related. Anxiety levels varied significantly by field of study, with nutrition students exhibiting the highest anxiety and emergency students the lowest, but no significant differences were found by gender in these variables. The findings suggest that higher religious attitudes may be associated with reduced anxiety and enhanced self-actualization, offering potential guidance for university educational and counseling programs.
