Abstract

This document is a collection of abstracts from various presentations and studies related to motivation and learning. The presentations cover a range of topics, including academic competence, music instruction, dance, self-curiosity, parenthood, life projects, and children's motivational development. The abstracts provide an overview of the research questions, methodologies, and key findings of each study, offering insights into the complex nature of motivation and its impact on human life and learning. One study found that both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation predicted reading performance in primary school students, while another study explored how self-motives shape inter-group attribution among university students in Delhi. Additionally, a study on procrastination and self-imposed deadlines found that participants were more likely to engage in task completion as the deadline approached. Another study examined the relationship between motivation, risk-readiness, and rationality in medical workers and students, while a study on Chinese children highlighted the importance of considering both cognitive and affective factors in understanding their motivation to write.
