Abstract

This article focuses on a study from Babes-Bolyai University examining the relationship between Grit—defined as perseverance and passion for long-term goals—and student engagement in education. Using the Academic Engagement Scale and the Grit Scale developed by A. Duckworth, the study surveyed 76 students specializing in Primary and Preschool Educational Pedagogy. Findings indicate that higher levels of Grit are associated with increased academic engagement, which includes behavioral, emotional, and cognitive participation in learning activities, leading to improved performance. The research suggests that personalized and engaging learning experiences may enhance both Grit and student involvement. [Extracted from the article]
