Abstract
This article focuses on the use of co-production—a collaborative approach where mental health service users and professionals share power—as an innovative therapeutic intervention for psychosis. Drawing on logotherapy, which emphasizes finding meaning in life to alleviate distress, the authors describe their experience co-producing a psychoeducational booklet about psychosis within a community mental health service. The process helped the service user regain control, reduce stigma, and find new meaning in his experience, contributing to his recovery. The booklet is now used in NHS mental health services, and the authors suggest co-production could be tailored to individual strengths and may help overcome barriers such as distrust and stigma that often hinder access to care for people with psychosis.
