Abstract
The article presents a persuasive argument from the perspective of a social work practitioner in favor of implementing comprehensive background checks for gun purchases to combat the issue of mass shooting. Topics include effect of mass shooting on communities and individuals, reason that mass shootings have become a critical and grave issue in modern society, and the importance of thorough background checks for gun transactions.
