Abstract

In this modern world, artificial intelligence is incorporated anywhere and everywhere. It is incorporated in fields like engineering, medicine, commerce, etc. However, in the field of education, artificial intelligence can be used to enhance an individual's capacities. As a student, the motivation levels to learn and be creative play a crucial part in the course of learning. This study seeks to examine the influence of artificial intelligence on an individual's motivation and creativity levels through a mixed-method approach. A sample of 270 undergraduate and postgraduate college students was considered for the study. We used correlation and regression for quantitative data analysis and thematic analysis for qualitative data with a sample of 10 students. We observed that there is a significant positive correlation between AI usage and motivation (r = 0.506) at 0.001 significance level and a positive correlation between AI usage and creativity (r = 0.298) at 0.001 significance level. The linear regression analysis revealed that artificial intelligence partially predicted Motivation levels, F1 = (1,268) = 89.6, p < 0.001 2 explaining 25% of the variance (R = 0.25). Similarly, AI partially predicted creativity levels, F2 = (1,268) = 28.2, p < 2 0.001, explaining 9% of the variance (R = 0.0952). The implications of the study can be helpful in creating personalized learning to enhance one's academic performance. This personalized approach can boost motivation by making learning more engaging and relevant to each student. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
