Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at ISPA-Instituto Universitario in Lisbon, Portugal, explored the relationship between preschool teachers' cognitions, emotions, and tolerance towards children's social behaviors in the classroom. The study found that teachers' tolerance towards children's behaviors is influenced by their thoughts and emotions. The researchers discovered that teachers displayed more negative views towards physical and relational aggression, positive perspectives towards rough play, and mixed attitudes towards exuberance. The study emphasizes the importance of teachers' self-awareness and highlights the role of emotions in shaping their tolerance towards children's social behaviors. [Extracted from the article]
