Abstract
The article discusses the history of Germany from the late 19th century to the present day. It highlights the unification of Germany in the late 19th century and the subsequent rise and fall of the German Empire. The author analyzes the political, economic, cultural, and societal developments during this period, addressing the question of a "special path" in German history. The article also explores the downfall of the German Empire during World War I and the subsequent political turmoil and revolution.
