Abstract

The first document discusses a study conducted in Switzerland on the effects of the veil of ignorance procedure on public acceptance of a NIMBY (Not In My Backyard) facility, specifically a repository for high-level radioactive wastes. The study found that evaluation of the policy, affective evaluation, risk perception, trust, personal and social benefit, and procedural fairness all influenced public acceptance of the repository. The second document explores the relationship between gender stigma consciousness and self-silencing behavior among female technology professionals in India. The study found that gender stigma consciousness significantly predicted self-silencing, and identified various factors that contribute to self-silencing in the workplace. The third document discusses the potential benefits of e-therapy and online counseling in India, where mental health service delivery has been inadequate. The document highlights the accessibility and cost-effectiveness of online therapy, and suggests that it can help combat stigma and increase access to mental health interventions. The fourth document presents a study conducted in Japan on the use of 360-degree images on tablets to enhance spatial understanding in a social studies class for elementary school students. The study found that the use of 360-degree images helped students compare learning objects with the surrounding landscape and achieve their learning goals. [Extracted from the article]
