Abstract
The article focuses on a study examining the relationship between personality traits, mental health status, and road rage among commercial drivers in Lagos Metropolis, Nigeria. Conducted by researchers from Olabisi Onabanjo University, the study utilized a descriptive survey design and standardized instruments to assess driving anger, personality characteristics, and mental health. The findings indicated that certain personality patterns and compromised mental health are linked to increased aggressive driving behaviors. The research suggests that promoting emotional regulation and providing accessible mental health support could be effective strategies for mitigating road rage, especially in high-stress urban environments.
