Abstract

The article explores the ethical challenges faced by social workers as they navigate what appears to be a disparity between evidence-based practice and advocacy for gender-affirming care for children. Topics include gender-affirming care that appears to be an area of concern for social work ethics and ideas for consideration as the profession deliberates on ethical practice principles in the treatment of, and definition for, children experiencing gender dysphoria.
