Abstract
The article provides a detailed overview of the 16th International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA) Conference held in June 2025 at Endicott College, Massachusetts, themed "Expressive Arts as Doorways to Healing." The event gathered around 300 participants worldwide for workshops, keynotes, performances, and networking focused on the intersections of creativity, healing, and community through expressive arts therapy. Highlights included keynote presentations by prominent figures such as Shaun McNiff and Dr. José Miguel Calderón, multiple breakout sessions, and rituals fostering connection and celebration. The conference emphasized the role of expressive arts in trauma healing, identity restoration, and fostering vitality through creative engagement with self, others, and nature. A post-conference immersion at a clinical expressive arts site further extended the experiential learning.
