Abstract
The article deals with the grading and assessment dilemma of educators at the San Leandro Unified school district in Northern California. Topics include situation which prompted district leaders to invest in teacher training and reimagine grading so that each letter grade carries equal weight, meaning of grading for equity according to author and former educator Joe Feldman, and an overview of the district's grading policy.
