Abstract

This study investigated the effect of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-based psychoeducation on anger control and death anxiety in individuals receiving chemotherapy. Conducted with 80 chemotherapy patients divided into experimental and control groups, the experimental group participated in eight CBT-based psychoeducation sessions, while the control group received no intervention. Results showed that the experimental group experienced a statistically significant increase in anger control and a decrease in death anxiety compared to the control group. The study suggests that CBT-based psychoeducation can be an effective psychosocial intervention to improve emotional regulation and reduce death anxiety in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
