Abstract

The article reviews the Third Endicott College Expressive Therapies Symposium held on 25 October 2024 in Beverly, Massachusetts, which focused on the theme of "Nature and Ecology." Sponsored by Endicott College, the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association, and local partners, the event featured a keynote by Dr. Fyre Jean Graveline, a First Nations Indigenous healer and expressive arts therapist, and included multi-arts workshops exploring sustainability, creative expression, and ecological awareness. Participants engaged in activities such as sustainable bookmaking, music informed by the Lydian Chromatic Concept of Tonal Organization, clay art reflecting impermanence, and community nature assemblages, all designed to deepen connections with nature and promote healing. The symposium emphasized integrative health, cultural diversity, and ecological mindfulness within expressive arts therapy practices.
