Abstract
The article examines the application of misleading terms that support the rapid commercialization of intoxicating tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) products, normalize their use, lower perceived risks and influence public health policy. It describes the use of several terms related to THC products that affect public opinion and health laws, as well as the confusion caused by the use of overly broad terminology by the industry. It offers recommendations to states to address terminology related to THC.
