Abstract

An introduction to the supplement which highlights the challenges that individuals with intellectual and development disabilities (IDD) face in their quest for equitable, inclusive health care is presented including the challenging and inequitable experiences by individuals with IDD, health disparities individuals with IDD face, and effectiveness of early intervention strategies for children with IDD.
