Abstract

TitansFIGHTING FOR ACCESSAs head of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Peter Sands led efforts to ensure that Gilead's new drug lenacapavir—which he calls "the biggest thing to happen in HIV prevention for a very long time"—would be accessible in poor countries, and roll out at the same time as in rich countries. In November, the first doses arrived in Zambia and Eswatini.—V.G.PHOTO (COLOR) [Extracted from the article]
