Abstract
The article focuses on the resurgence of measles outbreaks globally, driven by increasing anti-vaccine sentiment and declining vaccination rates. In the United States, over 1,300 cases have been reported, marking the largest outbreak since the disease was eliminated in 2000, while Canada and Europe are also experiencing significant increases in cases. The decline in vaccination rates, particularly for the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine, has fallen below the herd immunity threshold of 95%, with notable drops in specific regions. Experts warn that if vaccine hesitancy continues, it could lead to a rise in other preventable diseases, jeopardizing public health achievements. [Extracted from the article]
