Abstract

This article discusses recent archaeological discoveries in Pompeii, Italy. The excavations have revealed new frescoes in the House of the Painters at Work, depicting various scenes from Greek mythology and a portrait of a child. Another room has been identified as a shrine for private religious rites, covered in frescoes painted with expensive Egyptian blue pigment. Additionally, a dining room with black walls has been unearthed, featuring paintings of scenes from the Trojan War. These discoveries provide insight into the artistic and religious practices of the ancient Romans in Pompeii. [Extracted from the article]
