Abstract

The festive occasion of Lord Krishna's birth, known as'Janmashtami', was joyously observed in Kashmir on Thursday, marked bythe adornment of temples under the cover of night and the plannedprocessions to be held later in the day by Kashmiri Pandit devotees inSrinagar and other locations. In keeping with tradition, parents customarily send seasonal fruits suchas apples, pears, and grapes to their daughters' homes during this festival. Lt.
