Abstract

This article focuses on John Whitcomb's 1977 lectures, published as *Apologetics and the Christian Faith*, which advocate presuppositional apologetics—a method asserting that Scripture's supernatural revelation must be the foundational truth in evangelism. Whitcomb, a key figure in the modern creation movement and the Creation Research Society, argues that Christian evidences such as archaeological and scientific data cannot alone lead nonbelievers to faith, as spiritual regeneration requires the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. While evidences may intellectually satisfy believers and engage seekers, Whitcomb emphasizes that true conversion depends on gospel presentation grounded in Scripture. The book includes detailed biblical analysis, a glossary, and study aids, reflecting Whitcomb's lifelong commitment to creation research and Christian evangelism.
