Abstract

Christian schools in Australia are experiencing growth in enrollment despite a decline in Christian affiliation across the nation. The positive contribution of Christian school graduates to society has been demonstrated by the Cardus Education Survey Australia. These graduates are more likely to be involved in volunteer work and trade unions or political parties. The teaching of traditional Christian values and beliefs, as well as community service, are important factors for parents when choosing a school. However, the Australian Law Reform Commission's recommendations may pose challenges for Christian schools in hiring staff who share the same faith. The article emphasizes the importance of upholding the right of parents to choose an education in accordance with their religious and moral beliefs. The author calls for politicians to promote educational choice and respect cultural and religious diversity. [Extracted from the article]
