Integration of Spiritual Formation in Higher Education Courses.

Abstract
This article focuses on the integration of spiritual formation into seminary curricular design to foster holistic student development in theological education. It argues that alongside biblical and theological knowledge, students require spiritual maturation—encompassing cognitive, affective, and skill domains—to effectively apply their learning and grow in Christlikeness. The article presents educational theories such as Transformative Learning and Experiential Learning to support learner-centered teaching strategies that promote critical thinking, reflection, and community engagement. Key aspects of spiritual formation highlighted include growing in love for God and others, overcoming personal sin, and developing godly character, all aimed at preparing students for effective ministry and lifelong learning. The article emphasizes that faculty should adopt methods beyond traditional lectures to engage students more deeply, relying on the Holy Spirit’s guidance to nurture transformation in both heart and mind.
