Abstract
The article focuses on the significance and contemporary relevance of the Sixth Commandment, traditionally rendered as "Thou shalt not kill," but more precisely understood in Hebrew as "No murder." It highlights how the BBC drama *The Sixth Commandment* dramatizes the real-life case of Ben Field, who manipulated and murdered vulnerable church members, illustrating the commandment’s ongoing moral and social importance. The piece also discusses the historical shift away from strict adherence to the Ten Commandments and emphasizes their role as concise, categorical imperatives that protect human life, relationships, and property. The article concludes by suggesting that churches might benefit from prominently displaying these commandments to remind worshippers of their enduring ethical guidance.
