Abstract
The article focuses on the Gospel narrative of the man born blind (John 9) and its significance in the Lenten journey toward Easter. It highlights the story's rich symbolism, including Jesus' healing as a manifestation of divine light and mission, and the blind man's progression from physical and spiritual blindness to faith in Jesus as the Son of Man. The narrative structure emphasizes the contrast between the man's growing insight and the spiritual blindness of the religious leaders, illustrating themes of belief, rejection, and enlightenment. This Gospel passage has historically been central to pre-baptismal catechesis and invites reflection on Christian identity as "children of light" called to witness courageously in the world.
