Abstract
Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh chanted the Hanuman Chalisa in protest on the final day of the Hindu Swabhiman Yatra in Kishanganj, following a dispute with the local police who had removed Kalash pilgrims from the event. Singh's actions were prompted by reports of police using force to manage the crowd, leading him to demand the pilgrims' return and threaten a sit-in protest if his demands were not met. The situation was eventually resolved with the intervention of the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police, allowing the pilgrims to rejoin the event. Despite the tension, Singh concluded the yatra as planned, reaffirming his commitment to Hindu solidarity and activism in the region. [Extracted from the article]
