Abstract
Implementing mastery tasks within a course There are many possibilities for how to implement mastery tasks, and what role they play in relation to other assessments. Mastery tasks direct student attention to core course ideas and give them direct, repeated practice, with rapid feedback focused on these core ideas. Mastery tasks are a method of assessment involving one-on-one interactions in which students receive immediate feedback. How the feedback links to further learning can be included as an extension in a post-task conversation, once the student has built fluency in the current task. [Extracted from the article]
