Abstract

The article focuses on the discovery of the tomb of Djehutyemhat, an Egyptian royal scribe buried 2,500 years ago in Abusir. Topics include the ornately decorated burial chamber with depictions of gods and textual passages, magical spells on the entrance wall to ward off snakes, and the physical toll on Djehutyemhat's body due to the sitting pose associated with his profession as a scribe.
