Abstract
In his upcoming book, Jesper Svartvik, a Christian scholar, challenges the traditional interpretation of the New Testament that has contributed to strained Christian-Jewish relations. Svartvik argues against supersessionism, the belief that Christianity replaces Judaism, and calls for a more respectful and nuanced reading of Jewish scriptures. Drawing on his global academic experiences and encounters with vibrant Judaism, Svartvik advocates for Christians to approach Jewish texts with awe and gratitude to deepen their faith. His work aims to promote understanding and respect between Christian and Jewish communities in light of rising antisemitism. [Extracted from the article]
