Abstract
Catalina González Quintero's book, "Academic Skepticism in Hume and Kant," examines the role of skepticism in the philosophical critiques of metaphysics by Hume and Kant. The book challenges existing scholarship and argues that Academic skepticism is central to both philosophers' works. It discusses different interpretations of Hume's skepticism, including moderate and complete skepticism, and explores the influence of Academic skepticism on Hume's philosophy. The author suggests that Hume's skepticism and naturalism can be reconciled through the concept of the pithanon, and also highlights the influence of Pyrrhonian skepticism on Hume's theories. This text contributes significantly to the understanding of Hume's skepticism and its connection to earlier skeptical traditions. [Extracted from the article]
